About

True Grit fitness

Your health isn't a project to finish. It's a legacy to live right now. Without the burnout. Without self-sabotage and all-or-nothing thinking. Together, we build your body and mindset so that it aligns with the person you know you are inside.

My story. Your legacy.

From the freefall of skydiving to the climb out of cancer...here’s what I’ve learned about building a life you love.

My name's Kalish—and helping people has always been my north star.

From packing parachutes in my skydiving days to shaping how families lived as a designer, to serving as a Mayor, my path has been anything but ordinary. I’ve been a military spouse, a mom, a small business owner—and a fighter.

I’ve battled autoimmune disease and cancer. And when I lost my dad to cancer, I made a promise: health would never be a luxury—it would be a mission.

That mission became True Grit Fitness—built on loss, grit, and purpose. As a certified Personal Trainer, Nutrition Coach, and Health Mindset Coach, I blend science, soul, and structure to help you reclaim your health, rewrite your story, and build a legacy you’re proud of.

If you’re ready to make health feel simple, supported, and sustainable—I’m ready to walk with you.

Blue Skies,

Kalish

You're my client if...

-You're looking for results that don't disappear months after you stop the program.

-Feel your motivation always dips within weeks of buying the new sneakers and starting a new fitness plan.

-You'd rather feel energized after a workout than like you just survived a bachelorette weekend.

-Long-term health is a priority, because joking about wanting a candy necklace made of Advil and Tums is not how you want to live.

-You're not afraid of doing the work, you just need to know where to start and how to keep going.

-You’re done chasing the latest fad like it's the next big Beanie Baby craze, you want a strategy that grows with you.

What happens when you come into my world

-You stop treating workouts like punishment and start carving them the way you crave your morning coffee (or at least damn close to that)

-You gain more motivation to train, even when you're still shaking off that last round of flu half your office caught.

-You know what to do in weeks when life throws the kitchen sink at you and the gym just isn't happening.

-Snacks and desserts stop being the master ruining your life and instead becomes a pleasure that adds enjoyment

-You build a self-trust muscle so strong it shows up when you negotiate at work, set boundaries with people, or finally book that trip you've been putting off.
